We were delighted to recently welcome Kris Fade from Virgin Radio to our new Aspris Wellbeing Centre in City Walk, Dubai.
In order to help raise awareness for mental health, during his visit, Kris viewed the state-of-the-art facilities on offer at Dubai’s newest purpose-built wellbeing centre, and learned more about the treatments available for children and adults with a range of mental health conditions. Kris was able to learn more about Apris’s approach to treatment, see the relaxing therapy rooms, experience the private and comfortable waiting areas, and visit the specially designed therapy rooms for children.
Kris also took time to spread mental health awareness by emphasising the importance of reaching out for support if you’re having issues with depression, anxiety, relationships, or any other mental health concerns, saying:
“I suffered through anxiety and depression many years ago, and it was one of the hardest moments and hardest times of my life. A lot of us sit in silence and in pain, and we suffer but there is help out there. It's ok to go and get help."
Spreading awareness about mental health
As a family man with a busy lifestyle, Kris was shown how easy, convenient and relaxing it is to visit the new Aspris Wellbeing Centre in City Walk. The location, facilities and mental health services available at the clinic cater for a variety of needs, whether you’re making a dedicated visit, or as part of a busy day amongst the shops, restaurants and entertainment the local area has to offer.
For families, Aspris Wellbeing Centre considers the needs of children and young people as they are treated at the centre for children’s mental health conditions. The clinic also provides specialist support for autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as well as speech therapy and occupational therapy. Children can play on the outdoor equipment, or take to the cool of the centre and make use of the activities indoors for fun or relaxation.
Helping to get lives back on track
During his visit, Kris added: “There are many of us right now going through those hardships, be it trauma, be it marriage problems, family problems, relationship issues, your kids even, and it’s important to get help.”
