At our Aspris Wellbeing Centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, we conduct thorough diagnostic assessments and use a bio-psychosocial model to identify biological, environmental, psychological, social & academic factors that contribute to your child's difficulty.
We understand that emotional, behavioural, developmental disorders and psychiatric illness can often have profound and far-reaching impact – affecting all aspects of your child's life and their family, whether that be home, school, relationships and social life.
Our experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists will always keep your child's unique situation in mind when assessing their individual needs. Based on the developmental assessments carried out by our professionals, your child's treatment plan will be bespoke and tailored to your and your child’s situation.
The different diagnostic assessments are:
1. Developmental assessments
2. Educational assessments
The first time a child or young person comes to our service, they receive an intake evaluation by a psychiatrist. At the end of this learning assessment, the psychiatrist will be able to identify areas of need and make recommendations for further assessment and treatment tailored to the child & family.
Based on your child's needs, your psychiatrist may refer to another member of the multidisciplinary team, e.g., psychologist or speech and language therapist.
All assessment, referral and treatment decisions are taken in collaboration with the child and family.
