Our Mission and Commitment

We are committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness.  Our philosophy regarding inclusive education is underpinned by our core values that allow any child, whatever their background, starting point or differences, to be educated and to have the same opportunities as their peers.

We recognise that our greatest strengths come from the expertise in the broad range of people who make up our team, inclusion and diversity is ingrained in our practice. 

Our Values

We take our responsibility to be child-centred extremely seriously, we actively work together with professionals and parents in being solution focused, identifying and removing potential (and existing) barriers to the participation, engagement and achievement of children.

Inclusion Partners will actively support and contribute to the school’s inclusion provision, providing qualified Teaching Assistants from our Inclusion Partnership Team, who engage students, develop relationship of trust and support as well as promote student’s self-esteem and confidence leading to improved student outcomes.

Inclusion Partners will:

  • Assess, review and develop Students of Determination (SOD) educational and therapeutic practices
  • Attend set meetings (weekly/monthly) to liaise/advise teachers/teaching assistants
  • Provide guidance on the preparation and review of Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP), individual risk assessments and Pen Portraits
  • Contribute to the professional development of staff and parents
  • Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies as required.

Our Inclusion Partners are dedicated and experienced professionals, experts who demonstrate innovation and talent in their work and empower staff and parents to listen, observe and support, evaluating and devising practical solutions that make our service stand out for the young people we support. 

Inclusion Partners follows the ADEK Inclusive Education Policy Framework in delivering and enabling schools to challenge discrimination, ensuring an inclusive message is high on the agenda for everyone.
