Our Rebrand
Our name may be different, but our values, beliefs and high-quality services remain the same
Our Wellbeing Centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi were formerly known as Priory Wellbeing Centres. Aspris now exclusively oversees the Priory Healthcare services in the Middle East, having had experience spanning over 450 facilities with expert psychiatrists and psychologists providing high-quality treatment for over 70 psychiatric conditions.
The same specialist treatment, just a different name
The only difference to our patients is the name changing to Aspris. Our experienced professionals are still providing the same high-quality specialist care for a wide range of mental health issues in our purpose-built, state of the art clinics in Abu Dubai and Dubai.

The meaning of Aspris
The name Aspris originated from two Latin phrases that resonate with the people we support. As individuals, they all face challenges – conditions such as mental health or having a difficult start to life. It is our role to help them reach their full potential.
The Aspris branding focuses on the concept of light. Whilst light symbolises many things and has varying interpretations, it universally serves as a symbol of positivity - life, happiness, hope and prosperity.
This is an exciting time for us as we align our brand with our future visions. In addition to our rebrand into Aspris, we're delighted to be opening a new purpose-built Wellbeing Centre to City Walk in Dubai.
Our colleagues' primary focus continues to be the wellbeing of the people we treat as we continue to provide the world-class service that comes with our extensive expertise.
We're looking forward to welcoming you to our Aspris Wellbeing Centre in Dubai soon.
Aspris values
At Aspris, we are proud of our values and behaviours which were developed by our colleagues, children and young people. They shape our culture and underpin why our organisation is unique and exciting, alongside influencing the positive work we do and how we do it.

We are:
Aspirational – we want everyone to reach their full potential. Obstacles in life can be difficult to overcome, but working together, we can reach our aspirations.
Positive – The name Aspris is inspired by a Latin phrase: ‘Ad astra per aspera’, which means ‘through hardship to the stars’. We aim to make a positive difference to the lives of everyone we work with.
Fun & Friendly – Our colleagues provide a warm, friendly welcome to our Wellbeing Centres and strive to achieve a relaxed environment for all visitors.
Courageous – We help our colleagues and people we support to show courage through their daily actions and greater goals.

Our History
Aspris was formerly part of the Priory Group, the leading independent provider of behavioural care in the UK. Our organisation builds on the well-established positive reputation of this company, which has a long and prestigious history.
An American healthcare company founded the Priory Group in 1980, with the purchase of Priory Hospital Roehampton. The Roehampton site has been in continuous operation since its launch in 1872 by renowned Psychiatrist, Dr William Wood. Over the years that followed, the Priory Group acquired more hospitals and diversified its services.
In 1993, Priory moved into specialist education services with the purchase of Jacques Hall Foundation, followed by an adolescent therapeutic community in Manningtree, Essex. Further acquisitions across the UK followed, such as Castlecare, a leading national provider of children’s services, including residential homes and specialist schools.
In 2017, Aspire Scotland joined Priory’s education and children’s services division. Aspire provides education and care to young people aged from seven to 18 years with complex needs, and has a portfolio of seven children’s homes and a day school.
In January 2021, the Priory Group was acquired by Waterland and Aspris was subsequently established in July 2021 as a standalone company under Waterland’s ownership, providing the valuable opportunity to focus solely on the development of our children’s services in the UK and Middle East, and Healthcare services in the Middle East.
Our Middle East Services
Our first school outside of the UK opened in Abu Dhabi in 2019, providing specialist education for young people with autism. This was followed by the opening of the Al Karamah Training Institute on the same campus, which offers specialist training and work experience for young people on the autistic spectrum.
Our Wellbeing Clinics initially opened in Dubai and recently in Abu Dhabi, providing high quality support for a wide range of mental health conditions, delivered by highly-trained experts in their field.
